FRENCH SEO TEAM
Laurent Bourrelly – The SEO Rockstar
The wonders of SEO opened up to Laurent when he finished 3rd on the insane SEO contest “Mangeur de Cigogne” in 2004. After three months of 24/7 SERP battle, he got it. He knew how and what to feed Google. It’s no miracle. Do anything non-stop for such an extended period, and you’ll eventually figure it out. SEO was not hard; back then. Like many others, Laurent started to spam the shit out of Google. Living the life of super affiliate and click whore, he slowly drifted towards the consulting end of the job. He trained numerous SEO professionals, amongst the best in their fields. He announced his retirement this year, but Laurent used to do dozens of talks each year, including TEDx and SMX. He has been sitting on the jury of the European Search Awards, UK Search Awards and other SEO events, like SEO Campus. One of the most visible rewards from the French SEO community is the 3rd place for All-Time Best SEO in France. Since the beginning, Laurent has been raising his voice within the SEO community. At one point, he formed with a bunch of friends the infamous DarkSEOTeam, the most famous Search Engine hackers team. DarkSEOTeam demonstrated how to steal PageRank and various Negative SEO tactics. The goal was to show Google some weak points, including duplicate content and sneaky redirects. By the way, the breach in Google they opened ten years ago is still open.

Christian Méline – Mister Corpus
First, in the years 1995, Christian arrived in the multimedia high-level after a prosperous journey by hardware logic (creation and the full realization of the processor to military standards and operating at negative temperatures). He was a developer for some 200 large custom software accounts, almost all unlikely software, especially in the banking and medical sectors. At the same time, it is of course that the adventure of the web started when it appeared. And, inevitably, how the information could be reached was what interested him most in this new space that opened up to the world. The SEO as marketing was first a weapon to defend my development services… Then, step by step, after having developed many tools to understand search engines better, I decided to share a small part of the results of my R & D and to propose some specific tools or services. Today, metamots are joining the pleasure of doing a continuous R&D to the utility of offering an SEO based on implicit signals.

Jérôme Rossignol – The Cocoon Weaver
Jérôme wrote his first programs on an Apple II. Before going to Turbo C, he tinkered with assembler programs on Intel 80CXXX microcontrollers. His bedside book is the “Tanenbaum” edition 1989 (wink to the elders). Enough to say that he is very System. One day, the Peyronnet brothers appeared to him in a dream and told him “you must sow antique!”.
Since that day, he weaves cocoons, and he weaves, and he weaves…

Fred Bobet – The Doeurf
Passionate about computing since my childhood, I went naturally to take an interest in the web since 1995 when I started to discover IRC and chat with people from other countries, I found this incredible!! It was in 1999 during the university studies that I became interested in Web programming by discovering PHP, HTML, CSS and javascript (at the time javascript we tended to run away!). I spent more time exploring this than studying. In 2003, I was able to express myself professionally in what always fascinated me so much and develop websites for real customers. The optimization of SEO for search engines already appeared to me as an indispensable and exciting discipline. In 2005 I took part in my first SEO seminar organized by Olivier Andrieu and Olivier Duffez, the Imitiki seminar in Lyon. From 2006 to 2010 I worked as a developer in a big agency (more than 1000 sites), and I was a little removed from SEO (I know it was not the moment: D), but I learned a lot On all the techos of the web. From 2010 to 2014, I was in charge of the SEO of nearly 600 sites; there, I gained a lot of experience in a short time and industrial mode. It was necessary to optimize everything to save time everywhere, there was a gigantic site in front of me, and I had to organize to realize it as quickly as possible with few resources. So I decided to train all elements of the production chain so that we had SEO sensitivity at all levels, from the sales department to the developer team, all of them were trained. In July 2014, I took the step and decided to put myself on my own as an independent SEO. Since then, my small company has taken the edge, and it is now with two full-time editors that it made its way into the French SEO decor. It is with passion and pleasure that we climb the steps and that our customers acquire visibility day by day on the canvas that animates us.

Christian Lemoussel – The Crazy Developer
Christian, better known under the pseudo @Lemoussel, is the crazy developer of Cocon.se. More tenacious than him, you will not find. A technical problem? Threads, asynchronous writes in a CSV file, a tail and Ram leaks? He is the man of the situation. Benchmarks in the shovel? He answers present! Even if he only swears by Windows and C#, by gagging him a little we manage to make him touch C, C++. Javascript and PHP, he’s eating breakfast. Recently, he converted to Rust.
